Our Story
Podtown was started in Austevoll, on the Norwegian West Coast as a manufacturer of rapidly deployable container accommodation solutions.
From the first unit that was placed on a lighthouse in 2017, we have since then rented out and sold off-grid solutions to the civil and defence sector.
Norwegian Special Forces have rented our capabilities since back in 2018 and successfully tested the consept in action during the NATO Cold Response exercise in 2022. Podtown further developed Flexipod for military needs and delivered FLEXIPOD to UK Army in 2023.
In 2025 we designed and engineered Flexipod Clinic in close cooperation with experienced frontline Medical experts in close partnership with Ferno Norden Military.
Flexipod is now used being produced for US Department of Defence as well as for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
